Ministry of Health confirms 167 new cases of coronavirus in the past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, July 16: 167 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

KATHMANDU, July 16: 167 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the past 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.


At a regular media briefing on Thursday afternoon, spokesperson for the ministry Jageshwar Gautam said that 167 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded during real time PCR tests carried out at 27 labs across the country in the past 24 hours.

"With new cases in the past 24 hours, the country's COVID-19 tally has reached 17,344," Gautam said.


Likewise, 213 persons who were earlier admitted to hospitals after having contracted coronavirus have been discharged after recovery in the past 24 hours.


"As of today, the country's recovery tally stands at 11,249," spokesperson Gautam said.
