The people stopped Minister Bogati in Patan when he was heading for Balach for inspection of the Chameliya Hydro Electricity Project, said Chairman of the Patan Town Development Committee Chairman Dhan Bahadur Aire. [break]
He said Bogati made commitment to take initiative for repair by telling the Department of Electricity soon after returning from Chameliya.
Bogati informed that it will take some time as the spare parts are only found in China for the machine.
The project´s 100 kw capacity machine was out of order for the past three years and another also went out of order a month ago leaving the people of five VDCs of Patan in the dark.
Locals had locked out the Electricity Office, Patan a week ago demanding repair of the machine.
