Milan, Pranjal in table tennis semis<br/>Trijyoti, Active triumph

KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Milan Rokka of the hosts Little Angels´ and Pranjal Kayastha of JBS booked their place in the semifinal of the U-16 men´s singles in the Third LAS-JTI Inter-school Open Junior Table Tennis Tournament being held at the Satdobato Tennis Court. [break]



Milan recorded an easy win of 6-0 over Sumok Lohani of Shuvatara School and Pranjal too had an easy win over Chirinjivi Lama of Janakalyan. In the same category, Sandesh Singh Rathaur of DAV and Suyash Rajbhandari of The British School secured berth for the quarterfinals.



In U-14 boy´s singles, Suyash Rajbhandari of The British School, Sandesh Singh Rathaur of DAV, Anand Gauchan of Rato Bangala, Nil Pandey of The British School, Subir Shrestha, David Tako, and Deewas Shrestha of the hosts secured places in the last eight with victories in their respective matches.





Trijyoti, Active triumph



KATHMANDU, Aug 15: Trijyoti School and Active College emerged victorious on the third day of the NK Memorial Inter-college Football Tournament on Saturday being held at Budhanilkantha School ground.



In the first match of the day, Trijyoti Higher Secondary School defeated Kshitiz College 2-1. Active College defeated Herald International 2-1, while Rato Bangala School edged out Malpi Institute 2-0 in another match.



The tournament is organized by the STAR Club of Budhanilkantha School.
