KATHMANDU, Feb 4: Midas Education is launching Midas eClass -- a multimedia based interactive teaching solution -- at the 19th CAN Info-Tech that kicks off at Bhrikuti Mandap on Wednesday.

"Students today find it difficult to concentrate and understand vast amount of knowledge and teachers find it equally difficult to make classroom sessions interesting and engaging," Chhatra Hari Karki, managing director of Midas Technologies, said. [break]"We have devloped eClass as a solution to this problem as the technology enabled teaching and learning can make teaching effective and learning interesting.”

According to the developers, eClass will empower teachers to transform traditional blackboard-and-chalk classrooms into interactive sessions. Karki said they have customized DigiClass solution to suit the syllabus of Nepal.

The eClass has been prepared on the philosophy of Cognitive Learning Approach under which developers are associating new material with something familiar for better understanding of students. The multimedia content in Midas eClass includes images, audio, animations, demonstration, simulations, interactive games, activity sheets and more.

“ It is easy to use and has attractive interface through which teachers can access multimedia content in the classroom,” he added.
