Yadav was flown to Japan on Tuesday for further medical checkup and treatment after he was diagnosed with a black spot in his large intestine. Yadav along with his team had reached Tokyo at 6 am local time Tuesday.
Earlier on Sunday, the government had decided to send him to Tokyo for treatment on the recommendation of a medical board on Saturday. The medical board made the recommendation after medical checkup at TU Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj.
According to the statement from Tokyo, members of the Nepali diaspora and representatives of various Nepali organizations in Japan, including the President of the Non-Resident Nepalese Association Japan Chapter Om Gurung came to the Embassy to sign the Visitors´ Book extending best wishes to the president.
