Earlier, Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Pokhara Metropolitan City had sent letters to theater houses not to screen all Indian movies including ‘Adipurush’.

Kathmandu Metropolitan City and Pokhara Metropolitan City have imposed a ban on the screening of any Indian films, including 'Adipurush', films in movie theaters until the phrase 'Janaki is a daughter of India' removed from the movie 'Adipurush'.

Although Mayor Sampang has explicitly mentioned the non-screening of 'Adipurush', no specific comments have been made regarding other Indian films. Indian films have been banned from screening in the halls of Kathmandu Metropolitan City starting today. The decision to ban the screening of films was made under the directive of Mayor Balen Shah, and the movie hall operators have implemented the ban decision accordingly.
