KATHMANDU, Dec 13: Harka Sampang, the mayor of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City, recently met with Balen Shah, the mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, during a visit to the capital. During their meeting, Sampang placed a cap from Bhadgaon on Mayor Shah.
On Tuesday, Sampang, who had come to meet the Prime Minister, adorned Mayor Shah with a black cap featuring a khukuri cross. Mayor Shah is often seen wearing a similar cap.

In return, Mayor Shah presented Sampang with a statue of Buddha, symbolizing peace. The amicable encounter between the two mayors in a cheerful atmosphere has been well-received by many. Following the meeting of these distinguished mayors, known for their unique working styles, social media has seen numerous positive reactions.
"May the pair of Balen and Harka always remain," wrote Pravesh Bista on social media. "These two are rays of hope."
In an interview after the meeting, Sampang shared, "Balen and I have the same working style; I'm stricter!"
