Maoist Center's Ghimire elected ward chair in Belaka municipality

Ghimire achieved 559 votes, while his nearest rival Mohan Khadka from CPN- UML garnered 525 votes.

GAIGHAT, Dec 3: The CPN (Maoist Center) candidate Bharat Ghimire has won the election, securing the ward chairperson post of Belaka municipality-9 in Udayapur.


Ghimire achieved 559 votes, while his nearest rival Mohan Khadka from CPN- UML garnered 525 votes.

Similarly, Nepali Congress (NC) candidate Nabaraj Basnet secured 404 votes, according to Election Officer Suresh Pokharel.


Out of the total 3,147 voters registered in the ward, only 1,887 cast their votes. 


Similarly, Maoist Center's Nawin Bantawa Rai has been elected ward chair of Triyuga municipality-12  in Udaypur district. In both of these wards, NC had the leadership in the past.
