KATHMANDU, March 20: The Mankamana cable car service will be closed for one day today for routine maintenance, according to Manakamana Darshan Pvt Ltd.

Ujjwal Sherchan, Deputy General Manager of the company, stated that the closure is necessary for regular maintenance. The operations will resume as usual from Thursday.
The cable car, the first of its kind in Nepal, provides convenient access for pilgrims traveling to the renowned Mankamana temple situated in Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality-3 of Gorkha. From Kurintar, it takes just 10 minutes to reach Ichchakamana-4 in Chitwan. Established in 2055 BS, the Mankamana Cable Car has been instrumental in facilitating pilgrimages to this revered religious site.
