“The major parties claim to be the protectors of federalism but they are against identity-based federalism,” said Rai, adding, “Though Kamal Thapa and KC are anti-federalists, they are the revised version of major parties.”

Accusing the Nepali Congress and UML of being status quo-ists, Rai said, “These so called major parties are not in favor of federalism.” He further claimed that though people voted for them, they have failed the people´s expectations. “Though, the institution of monarchy has been abolished, the system hasn´t changed,” he added.

“The four major parties, including Madhesi parties, had made the last CA a battle ground,” said Rai, adding, “No one should wonder, if these parties institutionalize autocracy.” He also accused the UCPN (Maoist) of imposing tyranny in the country.
