KATHMANDU, July 28: Today, on the occasion of ‘World Nature Conservation Day 2024’, Lumbini World Peace Forum successfully planted 250 saplings, including kalki, guava, lime, dhupi, jacaranda, rittha and other plants, on the premises of Mangal Secondary School in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. This event was organized by Lumbini World Peace Forum in collaboration with Community Leadership Nepal, KEEP, and Armed Police Force.
According to a press statement issued by the Forum, this initiative was part of the Forum’s ongoing ‘1 Million Trees Plantation and Conservation Campaign’, which has been making strides since 2019. The statement reads, “This year, we aim to plant and protect 100,000 saplings across the country as part of this campaign.”

The statement further reads, “July 28 is celebrated as World Nature Conservation Day, and we are proud to contribute to the preservation and enhancement of our natural environment through such activities.”
