LUMBINI, Sept 30: Lumbini Province has been officially declared fully vaccinated and sustainable, ensuring that all children under 15 months have received the necessary immunizations as per the national vaccination schedule. Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya made the announcement during a program on Monday.
In the fiscal year 2023/24, 130 zero-dose and 2,343 children aged 16 to 59 months were identified and fully vaccinated. The province confirmed that 262,856 children have been fully immunized, prompting the declaration.

Health Minister Khem Bahadur Saru, along with other local officials, attended the program. Children in the province have been vaccinated against several communicable diseases, including tuberculosis, whooping cough, hepatitis B, polio, measles, rubella, pneumonia, and Japanese encephalitis.
