MORANG, March 27: Senior litterateur and scholar Dadhi Raj Subedi passed away at the age of 78.
He breathed his last this morning at Birat Medical College and Teaching Hospital in Morang. Litterateur Subedi, who was born in Dingla, Bhojpur in 2003 BS, was suffering from cancer.

He worked as an information officer at Purbanchal University for 12 years and published a dozen original works. Litterateur Subedi, who completed his master's degree in Nepali, contributed significantly to Nepali literature as the member secretary of the Eastern Literature Foundation and the president of the Biratnagar Talent Award Foundation.
He was active in the Nepali language and literature, making Biratnagar his work base. His works such as Sadhana Abhirekhankan, Matrika Ka Katha, Unko Katha Shilpa, Pratibha Ra Prastuti, Nepali Saahitya Ka Muskaan Haru are popular. His sons established the Dadhiraj Award Foundation in 2073 BS in his name. According to literary writer and journalist Krishna Binod Lamsal, two writers are honored every year since the establishment of the Foundation in 2073 BS.
According to family sources, Subedi was cremated at Paropakar Ghat in Biratnagar. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons.
