Avoid smoking and consuming alcohol: Relaxation of muscles is one the main reasons behind snoring. Since smoking and drinking alcohol tend to work as sedatives and relax muscles, including that of your throat, snoring is induced.


Sleeping posture: Your airway gets narrowed and partially blocked when you sleep on your back. Hence, you start snoring. It’s better to sleep on your side.


Nasal obstruction: Obstructed nasal passageway creates problem in breathing.  As you try breathing from your mouth, the likelihood of snoring is increased.
