KATHMANDU, Dec 26: Leftist thinker Sonam Sathi passed away on Friday.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Kathmandu Model Hospital. He was also a Kidney patient, according to a family source. “Despite being able to battle the COVID-19, he was suffering from pneumonia,” said a family source.

Earlier, he was admitted to Patan Hospital for COVID-19 treatment.
Sathi was a simple leader who followed communist ideology in letters and spirit.
Before the unification between the erstwhile CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) to form Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Sathi was a political bureau member of CPN (Maoist Center)-led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
