KATHMANDU, July 22: Issuing a press release, Minister of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sher Bahadur Tamang apologized for the remarks he made against female students pursuing their MBBS in Bangladesh.
While interacting with SEE students of Practical International Academy, on Friday, Tamang had alleged that female students were forced to sell themselves to receive their MBBS certificates in Bangladesh.

“There are more than 2,000 female Nepali students studying in Bangladesh. I had tried to highlight some of the problems that they were facing,” the press release said. “For this reason, it is important to approve the proposed Medical Education Replacement Ordinance and open more medical colleges in the country.”
“I would like to apologize to all Nepali students studying in Bangladesh for the hurtful words,” the Minister said adding that he’d continue to work to ensure an equal society that is free of violence against women in future.
