KATHMANDU, July 12: The mortal remains of Sita Dahal, wife of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, have been cremated at Pashupatinath Aryaghat.

Sita Dahal's body was previously kept at the CPN (Maoist Center) headquarters at Paris Danda for tributes. Sital Dahal’s last rites were performed with state honors at Pashupati Aryaghat.
Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayan Kaji Shrestha, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Purna Bahadur Khadka, Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Sudan Kirati, Physical Infrastructure and Transport Minister Prakash Jwala, Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Sharat Singh Bhandari, Chief Secretary Baikunth Aryal, MPs, secretaries, and officials of the diplomatic missions and well-wishers are present.
Sita Dahal passed away at the age of 69 at 8:33 AM today while undergoing treatment at the Norvic International Hospital in Thapathali.
Sita Dahal was sick for a long time due to Parkinson's disease. Sita Dahal was also an adviser to the CPN (Maoist Center).
