TRISHULI(NUWAKOT), July 31: The Chhahare –Tokha road, the shortest route from Nuwakot to the capital, Kathmandu, has been obstructed as a result of a landslide at Gurje Bhanjyang.
Vehicular traffic on the road has come to a standstill since last night due to the landslide debris that has fallen on and blocked the road at Gurje Bhanjyang.
Beni-Darbang road obstructs by landslide
The Division Road Office, Nuwakot has pressed into service two excavators to remove the landslide debris but to no avail as the mudslide continues, according to Rohit Bisural, Chief of the Office.
Nepal Army and Nepal Police teams are also mobilized for removing the landslide debris and opening the road.
Vehicles going towards Kathmandu from Nuwakot and vice-versa are stranded due to the road blockage. RSS
