KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) on Saturday organized two workshops namely—The F-Word and Creative Zen—as pre-events of KUSOM Annual Festival (KAF), 2016.
The F-Word workshop talked about resourceful approaches to excel on Facebook marketing.
Speakers at the workshop stressed that communication, collaboration and critical thinking are major tools for marketing a brand through the popular social networking website.
Speaking at the workshop, resource persons from Empowerment Academy Avishek Maskey and Prabin Adhikari shared how a good marketing helps to prosper the page and event just like a brand does for a company.
Saying that 4Ps approach of marketing—product, place, price and promotion was incomplete, Maskey stressed the most important element for a good marketing is people and the whole marketing process can’t be successful without people.
Likewise, Adhikari said that people should know other users by their Facebook profile and stressed that one should keep real information in their profile.
On the other hand, Creative Zen workshop, facilitated by Terence D’ Costa, focused on creativity and mantras for everyday problem-solving through out of the box exercises.
Both of the workshops included participants from KUSOM as well as other colleges. The F-Word workshop was attended by 40 participants and Creative Zen workshop was attended by 60 participants. All participants had positive feedback regarding their learning from the workshops.
Day-2 Coordinator, Nidip Pant said that youths should focus on learning and interest group and shared his tips on properly using social media to inspire people.
Coordinator of KUSOM Annual Festival (KAF) 2016, Ashim Sharma Poudel thanked the respective speakers for sharing their valuable insights on given subjects and the KAF committee for successfully organizing the workshops.
