KATHMANDU, April 13: Krishna Thapa Magar of Tribhuvan Army Club and Diksha Tamang of Lalitpur won gold medals in the 37th National Table Tennis Tournament in men's and women's sections respectively at Shahid Rangashala in Biratnagar on Monday.

Krishna recorded 7-11, 12-10, 5-11, 11-8, 11-8 win over his own club mate Shyantu Shrestha in men's final. Karan Rai of Morang and Ritij Joshi of Parsa jointly finished third.
Likewise, Diksha beat Sonu Thapa Magar of APF Club 11-7, 6-11, 11-2, 9-11, 11-9 in women's final. Gita Aryal and Swikriti Shrestha of Rupandehi came third. The tournament, which was earlier organized in 1974 and 2010 in Biratnagar, will conclude on Wednesday as other events are underway.
