Mayor Shah has warned that the School Management Committee will be dissolved if they obstruct the teaching-learning process, and anyone involved in obstructing the teaching and learning activities will face criminal proceedings.

The directives of Mayor Balen come in the wake of Nepal Public School Employees' Council (NPSEC) announcing the indefinite closure of community schools from Sunday. The NPSEC in a press statement on Friday directed its subordinate working committees across the country to stage the protest programs vigorously. The NPSEC has announced the strike with the aim to exert pressure on the government bodies concerned to meet their demands.
