KMC directs not to place digital boards, other publicity materials without permission

KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Kathmandu Metropolitan City has instructed all businesses or organizations concerned not to place hoarding boards and digital boards without its prior permission.


Issuing a public notice on Wednesday, the metropolis has instructed not to put up hoarding boards and digital boards without permission.

The metropolis published the notice as the hoarding boards, digital boards and other publicity materials were not removed even after the expiry of the period of obtaining permission to advertise within the metropolitan area.


Based on the order of September 15 issued by the Patan High Court, the KMC has asked all concerned not to conduct outdoor advertising effective from September 21 without prior permission of the metropolis.


The metropolis has also warned that the city police force will be used to remove such things if they are found violating the KMC’s rules.
