KMC removes 150 alcohol-related advertisement boards from Hyatt Ground

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has removed 150 advertisement boards placed at Bauddha-based Hyatt Regency Hotel’s ground for displaying alcohol-related contents.

KATHMANDU, Dec 25: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has removed 150 advertisement boards placed at Bauddha-based Hyatt Regency Hotel’s ground for displaying alcohol-related contents.


On Wednesday, a team from the city police removed 150 unauthorized alcohol-related advertisement boards placed at the Hyatt Ground in Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward-6, where a concert was set to take place.

The boards were removed by deploying a special team from the Metropolitan City Police Force. The metropolis stated that the boards were removed as part of its policy to control advertisements related to alcohol products.


The advertisements were placed for the "Sonu Nigam Live in Nepal" concert, which is set to take place on Wednesday evening at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Renowned Indian singer Sonu Nigam has already arrived in Nepal for the event.
