KIST, CAB set date for final

KATHMANDU, May 21: College of Applied Business (CAB) and KIST advanced to the final of the Inter BBA Cricket Tournament being held at Birendra Sainik cricket ground, Bhaktapur. Hosts CAB defeated DAV college by 6 wickets in the first semifinal on Thursday to book a place in the final. [break]



Batting first, DAV accumulated 123 runs in the allotted 20 overs losing 6 wickets. Nishesh KC scored 67 runs off 62 for DAV. In reply, CAB achieved the target losing 4 wickets in 19.5 overs. Sandesh Gartaula was adjudged man of the match for his unbeaten 40 runs in 28 deliveries.



In the second semifinal, KIST defeated Kathford by 22 runs. In teh match shortened to 15 overs due to rain, KIST decided to bat first after winning the toss and scored 109 runs losing 3 wickets. Subash Dangol scored 32 runs for KIST. In reply, Kathford could manage to score only 87 runs losing all wickets. Subash Dangol was adjudged man of the match.



The final will be played at Tribhuvan University cricket ground on Friday.
