Kathmandu Valley's COVID-19 tally reaches 9,440 on Wednesday


KATHMANDU, Sept 9: Kathmandu Valley has recorded 464 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours taking the Valley's COVID-19 tally to 9,440 on Wednesday.

According to Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, a total of 394 new cases in Kathmandu, 36 in Bhaktapur and 34 others in Lalitpur district were detected in the past 24 hours. Of the new cases detected in Valley, 145 are females and 319 are males.


So far, 474 males and 344 females in Bhaktapur district, 5,120 males and 2,491 females in Kathmandu and 551 males and 460 females in Lalitpur have contracted the novel coronavirus.
