KATHMANDU, Sept 4: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Balendra Shah (Balen) has published the list of work he has done in 100 days.

Shah announced the progress of his work in 100 days in 6 points through social media on Sunday.

In the first point, he has mentioned the removal of unauthorized shops and vendors from footpaths. He said that Rs 10 million has been allocated for e-sports as it can be the earning source for future generations as time continues to change.

Writing on his social media, he said that the erection of Yama Buddha’s statue was a reference to making it a small part of an artistic park.

“What we have to admit is that within 100 years, it could not be as we thought in terms of waste management. But we were able to bring the problem to the surface which has been rotting for almost 2 decades,” he wrote, adding, “Through this, we have been able to identify real problems and make sustainable solution plans.”

Regarding the removal of unauthorized structures including that of Norvic Hospital, he said whatever purpose the land is said to be used for, it should be used in the same way. “That's all we want. We will not hesitate to enforce this rule under any condition,” he further added.
