Kathmandu: Balen Shah secures 50,000 plus votes

KATHMANDU, May 23: Independent candidate for the post of Kathmandu Metropolitan City mayor Balendra Shah has received more than 50,000 votes.

KATHMANDU, May 23: Independent candidate for the post of Kathmandu Metropolitan City mayor Balendra Shah has received more than 50,000 votes.



Shah  has got 50,030 votes and is ahead by over 19,000 votes than his closest rival Srijana Singh, the ruling alliance candidate from the Nepali Congress, who is trailing behind Shah with 30,767 votes.

Similarly, CPN-UML candidate Keshav Sthapit is in the third position. He has received 30,015 votes.
