For the purpose, KCCI has formed 151-member organizing committee under its chairman Ganesh Dutta Joshi.[break]
Speaking at a program on Tuesday, Joshi said the event is being organized to promote agriculture, cottage industries, tourism, science and technology, alternative energy, rural technology, culture, art and literature in the district.
The event will also have stalls of local food items.
"We have been organizing the festival every year to draw people from other parts of the country to far-west and to promote local products,” said Junga Bahadur Malla, vice chairman of KCCI.
The expo will have more than 150 stalls. The organizers are expecting visitors from different parts of the country as well as bordering Indian towns.
KCCI officials said they would make public income and expenditure of the event within a month of the completion of the event.
