IDD chief and engineer held with huge bribes


The anti-graft team deployed from the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday evening arrested the chief of Irrigation Development Division(IDD) in Dolakha district and an engineer working in the same office with huge bribes.


NEFIN stages protest against PSC exam in Butwal


Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) has staged protest in Butwal against the exams being conducted by Public Service Commission(PSC) for different administrative positions to be filled at the local levels. NEFIN members and their supporters staged protest in front of Sidhdeswori Secondary School selected as the exam center chanting different slogans against the government.

National conference on rainwater harvesting to be organized in capital on July 27 and 28


The conference is aimed at making concerned stakeholders aware of how to reduce the impact of floods and rain-triggered-landslides by collecting and utilizing rainwater to meet domestic water needs through effective management. They gathered in the Oval Office with President Donald Trump, who got a rundown on his administration’s plans to get astronauts back on the moon by 2024 and then on to Mars in the 2030s.


Algeria win Africa Cup of Nations with freak early goal


 Algeria won the Africa Cup of Nations for the second time on Friday when a freak second-minute goal by Baghdad Bounedjah gave them a 1-0 win over gallant Senegal in the final. Algeria, who committed 32 fouls according to official match statistics, sat back after that and had to scrap for their win in a match that was certainly not a classic but was tense and gripping throughout.
