Govt registers vacate against SC’s interim order in KNMC case
The government has registered vacate at Supreme Court (SC) against the apex court’s interim order on the writ of affiliation of Kathmandu National Medical College (KNMC). The Ministry of Education (MoE) has registered the vacate through the Office of Attorney General on Tuesday demanding a scrap of the interim order of the SC on October 25, informed Dr Hari Lamsal, Joint Secretary and spokesperson of the Ministry.

NC Rupandehi invalids membership of rebel candidates and their supporters
The Nepali Congress (NC), Rupandehi has said that it has invalidated the party membership of those filing their candidacies for the upcoming elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies against the official candidates. Membership of one candidate for the House of Representatives and five for the State Assemblies election who decided to stand against the official candidates was annulled. Likewise, membership of 18 (proposers and supporters) has been invalidated.
Man found murdered in taxi
A man of around 40 years of age was found murdered in Manahara of Madhyapur Thimi Municipality in Bhaktapur. His body was retrieved from a taxi (Ba 1 Jha 1040), the Metropolitan Police Circle, Thimi confirmed. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prajjwal Maharjan, the body with severe head and face injuries from the attack by rocks and bricks were found in the backseat of the taxi. Police are trying to ascertain his identity.
Oman crush Nepal in final group match
Nepal suffered fourth and final straight defeat in the AFC U-19 Championship 2018 Qualifiers, as it went down 5-0 to Oman on Wednesday at Dolen Omurzakov Stadium, Bishkek. Nepal finished the championship without a point on the board. Nepal already lost the hope of securing its berth in the final round of the championship in the previous defeat against UAE finishing the tournament without a win.
Preliminary squad announced for final round of WCLC matches
The preliminary 28 members squad for upcoming ICC World Cricket League Championship (WCLC) Round 7 matches against UAE has been announced.
Anil Mandal and Sidhdhnat Lohani have made comeback in the squad after being out of the reckoning for last round of matches. Similarly, Avinash Karn has been dropped. Couple of players along with Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane will make it to the senior squad after the U-19 Asia Cup to be held from November 8 to 17. Round 7 matches against UAE will be played on 6th & 8th December at Sheykh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi.
