KATHMANDU, June 23: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, led by Upendra Yadav, has withdrawn its support to the Lumbini Province Government. JSP Chairman Yadav has directed the party’s minister in the provincial Cabinet, Bhandarilal Ahir, to resign from his post.
JSP Nepal leader Ambika Kafle said that JSP Nepal has withdrawn its support to the government and Minister for Agriculture and Land Management Ahir, who represents the party in the government, has been asked to leave the government.
However, Ahir is a minister who joined the government on behalf of The Janata Samajwadi Party led by Ashok Rai, who split from JSP Nepal.

However, JSP Nepal has claimed that Minister Ahir has not yet been identified by the Election Commission as a member of parliament from a different party.
"Ahir is still a lawmaker from JSP Nepal and the Election Commission has not identified him as a lawmaker from another party," said Ashok Yadav, president of JSP Nepal Lumbini. ’
Yadav said that he had instructed Minister Ahir to quit the provincial government immediately.
JSP had three lawmakers in the state assembly. Two of the three lawmakers, Bhandari Lal Ahir and Adesh Agrawal, have been claiming to have joined the new JSP party, led by Rai.
Kafle also said that they would be present as the main opposition group in the state assembly from today.
