FinMin seeks int'l support to develop Lumbini's master plan

LUMBINI, April 2: Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has sought international support to develop the Lumbini Development Master Plan as the government lacks sufficient resources for the project. Khatiwada said that the government would call for support on behalf of the Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) to complete the master design within the next three years.

LUMBINI, April 2: Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has sought international support to develop the Lumbini Development Master Plan as the government lacks sufficient resources for the project. Khatiwada said that the government would call for support on behalf of the Lumbini Development Trust (LDT) to complete the master design within the next three years.


“However, the government is not in the position to allocate sufficient budget for the project in the next three years.”

On a separate note, Khatiwada updated media persons on how the federal and local government was extending support to the victims of Bara Parsa wind storm.


Yesterday, the provincial government said it would provide Rs. 300,00 to each of the affected families. Likewise, the federal government said that it would rebuild homes and shoulder medical bills. In addition, parliamentarians from both the Nepali Congress and the ruling party has announced to provide two days and a day’s salary respectively.  RSS
