Jeep hit by landslide, driver dies

PALPA, Sept 13: A person died when a moving jeep was struck by the landslide at Nagthan, Siddhababa of Palpa-Butwal road section along the Siddhababa Highway in Palpa on Friday at around 10:30 am.

PALPA, Sept 13: A person died when a moving jeep was struck by the landslide at Nagthan, Siddhababa of Palpa-Butwal road section along the Siddhababa Highway in Palpa on Friday at around 10:30 am.


The deceased has been identified as Kamal Sunar of Kaligandari rural municipality-7, Chhapchaur, of Gulmi. He was driving the jeep (Lu1 Ja 2617) en route to Bareng, Baglung from Butwal.

Another Scorpio jeep (Lu 2 Cha 5938) was buried in the landslide when it was en route to Butwal from Palpa at around 10:30 am today, police station at Dovan, Palpa informed.
