CIAA files corruption case against journo Yadav, two others

A case has been filed in a special court against three people, including journalist Brij Kumar Yadav from Janakpur, on charges of corruption by concealing information about a bid.

KATHMANDU, March 26: A case has been filed in a special court against three people, including journalist Brij Kumar Yadav from Janakpur, on charges of corruption by concealing information about a bid.


The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a case against Yadav, along with Sawan Kumar Chaudhary, the Chief Administrative Officer of Bateshwar Rural Municipality in Dhanusha, and Suman Kumar Puri, the accounts officer.

Journalist Yadav is accused of preparing a fake bill amounting to Rs 644,000 without publishing the advertisement. 


The CIAA has alleged that the bid notice for the construction of health post buildings and deep boring systems in the wards of Bateshwar Rural Municipality in Dhanusha was deliberately concealed. It is claimed that five years ago, Yadav falsely prepared a bill of Rs 644,000, stating that the advertisement had been published.
