KATHMANDU, August 26: Janagayak (people’s singer) JB Tuhure has passed away. He was 78.
Tuhure was admitted to Vayodha Hospital in Kathmandu after he suffered from brain hemorrhage on Tuesday. Family sources said he breathed his last at around 12:30 PM today.

Tuhure had been suffering from heart and lungs related ailments for long. He was also a patient of diabetes and high blood pressure.
His dead body will be kept at CPN (Maoist Center) Headquarters in Parisdanda till 2PM today for offering last tributes. His last rites will be performed at the Pashupati Aryaghat later today.
Tuhure’s original name is Juth Bahadur Khadgi. He had lost his father when he was just 20 years old. Since then he started using Tuhure (orphan) as his surname.
He is popularly known as a singer who raised leftist consciousness among people through popular songs. His songs are played in most programs organized by leftist parties to draw and entertain the crowds of people.
