Govt decides to confer title of Janagayak on JB Tuhure posthumously

KATHMANDU, Aug 25: The government has decided to award the title of Janagayak to JB Tuhure (Jutha Bahadur Tuhure Khangi) in recognition of his contribution to the nation through song and music.


Minister for Communication and Information Technology, Rekha Sharma, shared the decisions of the Council of Ministers held on August 16 and August 23 at a press conference here on Thursday. The cabinet also decided to approve the revision of the detailed project report of the Kathmandu-Tarai-Madhesh Expressway.

Similarly, a decision was taken to accept a grant of 3 billion 296 million Japanese yen received from the Japanese government for the Dhulikhel Hospital, Trauma and Emergency Center improvement project. The government has decided to give in-principle approval to formulate a bill related to science, technology and innovation and to use the national forest area for the construction of the Badkapath Irrigation Project.


Also the government spokesperson, Minister Sharma said that it has been decided to approve the creation of 38 gazetted temporary posts for 17 projects and programs including the integrated land perimeter management project for protected areas and biological pathways under the Ministry of Forests and Environment for the year 2080/81.
