KATHMANDU, Nov 12: Indian Army Chief Upendra Dwivedi is scheduled to visit Nepal on November 19, according to a highly placed source in the Nepali Army.
During his visit, General Dwivedi will be conferred with the rank of honorary General of the Nepal Army by President Ram Chandra Paudel at a special ceremony to be held at the president’s office at Sheetal Niwas.

According to the source close to the Nepali Army, Dwivedi is scheduled to arrive in Nepal to receive the honorary COAS insignia. Additionally, during Dwivedi’s visit, key discussions are expected to focus on cooperation and exchange between the two countries. Dwivedi was appointed as the Chief of the Indian Army on June 30, 2024.
