“Despite the four parties´ earlier agreement to downsize the CA members from 601 to 490, we are ready to reconsider on it citing the demands of the agitating parties including CPN-Maoist and Madhesi Peoples’ Rights Forum in bid to woe them to participate in the elections”, said, Dahal.

Talking to the journalists, Dahal revealed that his party could forge election alliance with Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist and talks are underway for that.

He told reporters that he along with vice chairmen duo Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha are considering to contest the CA election from terai districts.

On the occasion, Dahal also clarified that the name of Lokman Singh Karki for the post of chief of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) was proposed with the consent of all the four parties.
