KATHMANDU, March 31: A demonstration was held in Maitighar Mandala, Kathmandu demanding the cancellation of the name of Koshi province.


On Friday, organizations such as Sachet Pahichanbadi Sangharsha Samiti, Kirant Yakthung Chumlung Kathmandu held a protest.

Rajan Mikarung, one of the participants in the demonstration, said that addressing any voice through dialogue is a good culture, so it is appropriate to move towards solving the problem as soon as possible.


He said that if the problems of the citizens cannot be solved, the leaders of the state government and the central government should resign.


The protestors raised slogans such as beware of anti-identity, cancel the name Koshi province, name all provinces based on identity, re-demarcate federalism, declare freedom fighter Lajehang Limbu a martyr, etc.
