KATHMANDU, May 1: Sunita Dangol, the deputy mayoral candidate for Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) from the CPN-UML expressed her commitment to creating a safe working environment for women at the workplace.
Speaking at a program organized in Kathmandu on the occasion of the International Labor Day on Sunday, she said that as it would be difficult for women during menstruation, she plans to bring policies and programs for women to have menstrual leave.

"We will make sure that women are safe in the workplace," Dongol said. “Not only that, we will make arrangements for equal pay for everyone, irrespective of gender. Also, we will bring policies and programs for women to have menstrual leave during their menstruation period.”
