KATHMANDU, April 5: Police arrested a man accused of misusing social media by threatening to post intimate photos and videos from a past relationship.
Ram Bihari Safi, 27, of Golbazar, Dhangadhi Municipality-7, Siraha, residing in Sinamangal, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-9, was arrested on Wednesday by a Cyber Bureau team based on a complaint filed by the victim.

According to the police, Safi had threatened to share the private content on social media and send it to the victim’s relatives following the breakdown of their relationship.
The investigation is ongoing under the Electronic Transactions Act, 2063, with the Kathmandu District Court granting a four-day extension for the inquiry.
