KATHMANDU, Sept 6: National Assembly member Dr Bimala Rai Paudyal has demanded that Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jeevan Ram Shrestha apologize publicly.
Speaking at the meeting of the National Assembly at zero hour on Tuesday, the member of the National Assembly Paudyal said that Minister Shrestha should publicly apologize for his inhumane behavior toward the security guard while going to get the visa. She said such behavior of the minister was unacceptable.

She said that those who get service benefits from the taxes paid by the people are not the rulers but the servants of the people. She said that parliamentarians make laws and they are the ones who break the law. She also drew the attention of the government so that this kind of incident does not happen again.
"We, the representatives of the people, who get salaries and other perks and benefits from the tax paid by the people, and the ministers, the prime minister, all the organs of the government are the servants of the people. Not the rulers,” she said, “Just two days ago, the inhumane behavior of a minister with a security guard while visiting an office to collect a visa is highly unacceptable.”
“He should publicly apologize for this. I know he will not resign. But he must apologize publicly. Because we are servants and not rulers,” Paudyal said, adding, “Let the government take care of it immediately. I want to demand from the government that this kind of incident does not happen again. And I also want the minister to apologize publicly.”
