Health ministry confirms another COVID-19 case

KATHMANDU, May 14: The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed yet another case of the novel coronavirus disease on Thursday. 

According to the ministry, a 49-year-old man from Devchuli Municipality-12, Nawalparasi (East) contracted the deadly virus at the Bharatpur-based Bharatpur Hospital’s lab.

He is in regular contact with the health personnel, said Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, joint spokesperson for the ministry. 

With this, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has risen to 246. Earlier today, two other patients were also diagnosed with this viral disease. 

In the recent days, as testing has been expedited, Nepal has witnessed a sharp increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.
