Gyanendra Malla named interim captain of national cricket team

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday has named Gyanendra Malla as the interim captain of the national cricket team following the resignation of former captain Paras Khadka on October 15.

KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday has named Gyanendra Malla as the interim captain of the national cricket team following the resignation of former captain Paras Khadka on October 15. 


According to CAN, Malla has been handed the responsibility for the scheduled series against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to be held next month in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee has been picked as the vice-captain of the team.


According to an official at the CAN, they will again sit down for a meeting to pick the new captain. 


Meanwhile, former captain Khadka has congratulated Malla on being picked as the interim captain of the national cricket team.
