Govt recommends ambassadors for 20 countries

KATHMANDU, April 7: The government has recommended names of ambassadors to various 20 countries.

KATHMANDU, April 7: The government has recommended names of ambassadors to various 20 countries.


A cabinet meeting held on Thursday evening made a decision to this effect. Those recommended as ambassadors include 12 from political quota and eight from Foreign Service. 


There is a constitutional provision to provision to appoint ambassadors by President after Parliamentary Hearing Committee endorses their names.


Those recommended under political quota:


1. Bishnu Pukar Shrestha (China)


2. Dan Bahadur Tamang (South Africa)


3. Sharmila Parajuli Dhakal (Spain)
