KATHMANDU, August 7: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has increased the number of COVID-19 vaccination centers across the country.
The number of vaccination centres was added considering the increasing flow of people coming to vaccinate themselves, said MoHP Deputy Spokesperson at the MoHP Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari.

A total of 1,433 new vaccination centres have been added across the country. With this, the total number of vaccination centres in the country has now reached 4,422.
The Kathmandu Valley alone will have a total of 149 vaccination centers with the MoHP deciding to set up an additional 83 vaccination centers.
So far, over 4.4 million people in Nepal have received their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine while 2.2 million have received both their doses. The government has already administered the single dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine received under grant assistance from the United States of America under the COVAX facility.
