KATHMANDU, Jan 19: The government has awarded the construction contract of a four-lane flyover in Gwarko, Lalitpur to M/S Ashish Samanantar JV.
Issuing a public notice on Wednesday, the Quality, Research and Development Center of the Department of Road (DoR) has said the company has been awarded the construction to be completed in the next two years. The DoR has provided the contract for an investment of Rs 176.88 million.

Seven months ago, the government authority called for the tender in which nine contractors had applied for the project construction. The infrastructure will be constructed in the Engineering Procurement Construction model. As per the contract, the construction company will have to develop a design in four months while the construction will have to be accomplished in 20 months.
Provided the completion of construction the flyover will be the first in its type in the country. The 455-meter long flyover will connect B & B Hospital area through Gwarko Chowk to Balkumari of Lalitpur stretch of the valley ring road.
