KATHMANDU, April 16: Three British students are preparing for the journey of a lifetime by traveling over 3,000 km from Goa to Nepal in a tuk-tuk three-wheeler for charity.

Britain´s Gazette newspaper reported that Joe Brindle and Dan and Ryan Wicks, all 21, are to travel more than 2,000 miles (3,200 km) across India in a three-wheeled tuk-tuk in aid of charity.

The trio have signed up to the Rickshaw Run, a charity race, which takes place three times a year.

Starting in Goa, the team will try to make their way to Nepal through jungles and deserts in the height of monsoon season.

They expect the journey to take about a month and are aiming to raise at least £1,000 for Frank Water Projects and Maiti Nepal, an NGO working for women in Nepal.
