GOA , Oct 15: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal today arrived in Goa on a Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) aircraft to take part in the eighth BRICS Summit.
The PM is heading an 18-member Nepali delegation to the Summit. He was greeted at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi by Nepali Chargé d'affaires, Krishna Prasad Dhakal, Indian Minister of State for External Affairs, MJ Akbar and Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae.
During his stay, PM Dahal is scheduled to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping today and Indian PM Narendra Modi tomorrow.
PM Dahal will be addressing the BRICS-BIMSTEC Outreach Summit and the heads of state/government of member states.
The Summit is expected to deliberate on institutionalizing BRICS, implementing the past agreements, integrating BRICS mechanism, searching for new avenues of cooperation and continuing institutional activities.
PM Dahal will also hold separate bilateral talks with Russian President, Vladimir Putin, Sri Lanak President, Maithripala Sirisena, South African President, Jacob Zuma, Brazilian President, Michel Temer and Bhutanese Prime Minister, Tshering Tobgay, on the sidelines of the Summit. RSS
