Nepal Lipi Guthi is organizing Ranjana and Nepal Lipi Art Festival on Saturday. The festival is supported by Member of Parliament Rajesh Shakya who provided financial help from Parliament Trust. The festival is scheduled from 11 am to 5 pm at Basantapur. Nepal Lipi Guthi (Institute of Nepal Epigraphy) is a non-governmental organization, established in 1980 (Nepal Era 1100) to preserve, publicize and promotion the Nepal Lipi.
Some glimpses of Nepal’s first ‘Lipi Nakha’
According to a press statement released by Nepal Lipi Guthi, the festival aims at promoting Nepal's authentic Lipi (epigraphy) to youngsters such as Ranjana, Nepal Lipi and Bhujimal Lipi along with various creative art and crafts.
It added there will be more than 50 stalls showcasing art and crafts such as wood craft, pottery, chhwali art, jewellery, etc which will be on sale as well. Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) Mayor Bidya Sundar Shakya will inaugurate the festival.
